Day 1 : BOMBAY
Met on arrival and transfer to the hotel.
Day 2 :
Morning visit Elephanta caves, which contains a fine cluster of 06th - 08th century rock-cut caves. Afternoon city tour covers Gateway of India, British Museum, Hanging Gardens and Mahatma Gandhi's Residence
Day 3 : BOMBAY / BANGALORE
Fly to Bangalore. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Bangalore, the garden city of India
Day 4 : BANGALORE / MYSORE
Drive to Mysore enroute visit Srirangapatam known for its fortress tomb of the famous warriour king.
Day 5 : MYSORE
Half day city tour which includes the old Maharaja's Palace, one of the biggest in the country. Evening visit the Vrindavan Gardens having beautiful lawns and beds of flowers, fragrant shrubs, cascades and fountains.
Day 6 : MYSORE / HASSAN
Drive to Hassan enroute visit Sravanbelgola.
Day 7 : HASSAN / BANGALORE
Morning sightseeing tour of Belur and Halebid famous for its temples. Onwards drive to Bangalore.
Day 8 : BANGALORE / COCHIN
Transfer to the airport for flight to cochin. Afternoon motor launch excursion on backwater through the coconut groves and quite lagoons.
Day 9 : COCHIN
Morning half day sightseeing tour of Cochin. Afternoon at leisure.
Day 10 : COCHIN / ALLEPPEY
Drive to Alleppey which is a pleasant easy going market town surrounded by coconut-palm plantations and built on the canals which service the coir industry of the backwaters. Afternoon boat cruise on the backwater.
Day 11 : ALLEPPEY / PERIYAR
Morning drive to Periyar. Afternoon boat excursion to view the wildlife.
Day 12 : PERIYAR / MADURAI
Early morning boat ride to view wildlife and water birds. Drive to Madurai, known as the city of festivals. Afternoon visit the Meenakshi Temple, buit in the Dravidian style.
Day 13 : MADURAI - MADRAS(CHENNAI) / COVELONG
Transfer to the airport for flight to Madras. Onwards drive to Covelong, a beach resort.
Day 14 : COVELONG
Full day exursion to Kanchipuram famous for its temples, shrines and handwoven silk fabrics.
Day 15 : COVELONG
Morning half day tour of Mahabalipuram, world famous for its shore temples. Rest of the day at leisure.
Day 16 : COVELONG - MADRAS - BOMBAY
Drive to Madras for flight to Bombay. Rest of the day at leisure.
Day 17 :
Transfer to the airport for onward destination.
